How We Handle Your Information

Plain language, no fine print: this page explains what happens to the information you give us through this website.

Who We Are

What We Collect

When you fill in our contact form, we receive what you type:

your name and phone number
your email address, if you give one
the ZIP code of the property
what you need help with, and your message

To keep the form free of spam, we also record:

a scrambled code made from your internet (IP) address. We cannot turn it back into the address; it only lets us limit how many times the form is sent from one connection
the country your connection comes from, and how long the form took to fill in

If you just browse the site, we do not ask you for anything and we do not set any advertising or tracking cookies. We do keep a simple count of how many times each page is viewed, so we can tell which pages are useful. That count records only the page address, the date, whether the visit came from a phone, tablet or computer, the country, and the website you arrived from, as a bare name such as "google.com", never the full link.

It records no IP address, no device identifier and no cookie, and the numbers are only ever totals. It cannot identify you, and it cannot tell us that the same person came back twice.

If you use the roof cost estimator, the answers you type stay in your browser. They are used to work out the range shown on screen and are not sent to us at all, unless you then choose to submit the contact form, which copies them into the message so you do not have to type them again.

Why We Use It

To respond to your request: to call or email you about your roof, schedule an inspection and give you a quote.
To protect the form from spam and abuse.
We may also sell or share your request with other businesses, as explained below, unless you tell us not to.

Who Sees It

Your request goes to our company email and is seen by the people at Colorado Roofing and Remodeling who handle estimates.

We may sell or share your information. For example, if we cannot take on your job, we may sell or refer your request, including your name, phone number, email, ZIP code and message, to other contractors, home-improvement companies or lead-referral services, and we may be paid for it. Those businesses may contact you about your project, and their own privacy policies apply to what they do with your information.

You can say no. Just tell us. We ask when we call you back, and you can say no then, or at any time afterwards by calling or writing to us (see Your choices). We will not sell or share it.

What saying no means in practice. Sharing your request is not only something we may be paid for. It is also how we help when we cannot help ourselves. If we are booked out, or your property is outside the areas we work, passing your request to a roofer who can take it is the most useful thing we have left. If you have asked us not to share it, we will not do that. We will tell you directly that we cannot take the job, and you are welcome to call us for a recommendation instead. You are not giving up anything else: the free inspection, the quote and the work are all the same either way.

We also use a small number of service providers to run the website and our email:

Cloudflare hosts this website, delivers the form to us and stores a backup copy of form submissions.
Zoho hosts our business email, where your request arrives.

They handle the information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How Long We Keep It

The backup copy of form submissions is deleted automatically after 12 months. If you become a customer, we keep the records we need for your job, your warranty and our business and tax records, for as long as those are needed.

How We Protect It

The website runs entirely over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Form submissions are stored in a private database that is not reachable from the internet, and only our team has access to it. No method is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.

We never ask for payment card or bank details through this website.

Permission to Contact You

When you send our contact form, you agree, in the statement next to the button, that we and the businesses we may share your request with, may contact you about your project by phone, email and text message, including calls and texts sent with automated technology. Giving that permission is not required to get a quote from us; you can simply call us instead. We keep a record of when you sent the form and which version of that statement you saw.

Your Choices

You can ask us what information we have from you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us not to sell or share it. Call us at (303) 489-2541or write to us at the address above, and we will take care of it. If you would rather we did not contact you again, just tell us.

You can withdraw your permission to be contacted at any time, in any reasonable wayFor example, by telling us on the phone, replying “STOP” to a text, or replying to an email. We will stop, and we will pass your request on to any business we shared your information with.

Asking us not to sell or share your information applies from then on; we cannot recall information that was already shared before you asked.

Children

This website is meant for homeowners and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
